I recently visited Butch Annie's a new burger restaurant that has opened in Cambridge. They specialise in hand crafted beer and burgers. The menu is simple with a selection of beef of pork burgers. I decided to go for the Oh La La, this was a cheese burger with garlic mayo, gherkins, tomato served in a seeded brioche bun. First I want to start by saying the garlic mayo was just heaven....it was by far the best I've ever had and you could tell that it was homemade and not 'just out of a jar'. The meat itself was nice and juicy and cooked to perfection, they do ask how you want your burger cooked and I choose medium which for me was spot on.
They serve the burgers wrapped up in paper which I personally thought was a nice touch and kept things simple. They do also serve milkshakes which did look pretty good however being an IBS sufferer and trying to stay away from diary (she says after ordering a burger with cheese) i decided to stick with apple juice which was pretty good.
I would recommend giving Butch Annie's a try if you are around Cambridge, I will definitely being going back!
